Girder trolleys are mechanisms used to attach lifting devices such as hoists around the flange of an exposed structural beam. These trolleys have wheels that allow themselves to traverse the entire length of the beam, giving added flexibility in moving loads horizontally. Manual push-type trolleys are normally used under two tons of load and in low accuracy positioning applications. Gear operated trolleys, on the other hand, may be operated using a manual chain or an electric motor. Girder trolleys are available in various weight capacities for warehousing, manufacturing, construction, and engineering applications.
