Chemical pumps are fluid transfer devices designed to move liquid chemicals from a container drum to smaller containers or into a process. These hand drum pumps consist of an immersion tube connected to a positive displacement mechanism to siphon the liquid content. A discharge spout may have a delivery hose to facilitate the transfer of chemicals into another vessel. Using chemical transfer pumps protect users from toxic fumes, prevents direct skin contact to corrosive chemicals, and provides efficient material transfer with minimal spillage. Chemical pumps are used in most industries including petroleum, pharmaceutical, food, and personal care.
