Also known as Key Bars, Key Steels are cold drawn square or rectangular section steel that is placed in keyways to fasten gears, sprockets and pulleys to a shaft. Most dimensions are oversized to assure positive, zero backlash power transmission. Key steels are available in Zinc plated steel or in 303/304 grade stainless steel.
