Anti-seize compounds or anti-stick compounds are substances used to protect fastened interfaces from corrosion, sticking, and galling. These compounds are applied to fasteners, bolts, flanges, and other clamped interfaces to create a thin insulating layer between each other for easy dismantling. Anti-stick compounds typically use copper, nickel, and molybdenum as active slip agents. Anti-seize compounds come in aerosol, paste, or stick form and are used in marine, automotive, and food industries, to name a few.
