Rigging screws or rigging tensioners consist of two threaded screws with end fittings and an enclosed tubular body. Each screw is fitted into opposite ends of the body with a central hole for rotating using a bar. These screws normally have elongated eyes or clevis end fittings for connecting to the end of a rope, chain, or pad eyes. However, they may also have swage, bolts, or screw ends for different connection options. Rigging screws are generally used in length adjustment and tensioning of cables and wires in various applications in shipping, outdoors, aircraft, sports, and piping systems, among others.
