Taper lock bushings, also called as taper bush or taper fit bush, is a locking mechanism that allows you to set a driven device, such as a pulley, sprocket or sheave, to a shaft. The split and tapered design gives a real clamp fit that is still easy to install and dismantle. Taper lock bushings are available in both cast iron and in stainless steel and in common bore sizes.
