ABOUT THIS CATEGORY
Timing belts, also referred to as toothed belts, cogged belts, or synchronous belts, are flexible belts with moulded teeth on the inner surface. They are designed to transfer force to one or more shafts by mechanically linking to them and moving them synchronously. Their teeth profiles match similarly toothed pulleys, gears, or sprockets to ensure there is no slippage and to facilitate efficient motion transfer. They are commonly made from synthetic rubber with reinforcements such as Kevlar, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or steel cord for improved durability and strength. Timing belts are widely used in industrial applications such as conveyors, compressors, hydraulic pumps, and other machinery.
