TIG welders are machines that use a non-consumable tungsten electrode to join metal pieces. They use an inert gas to shield the arc created between the tungsten electrode and the base metal. Tungsten inert gas welding also referred to as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), may be done with or without filler materials. They are used to weld thin sheets of stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys for high-quality welding.
