Insulated screwdrivers are specially designed driver tools that have non-conductive coverings in the handles and the shaft, revealing only the tip. They are rated for use at 1,000V and have blades made from chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel to support high torque applications. They are particularly used by electricians to keep themselves safe from electric shocks and prevent short circuits when working with live wires.
