Air ratchets or pneumatic ratchet torque wrenches are tools with an air-driven motor used to tighten and remove rotary fasteners such as nuts and bolts. They have air inlets that require a steady amount of pressurized air, normally connected to an air compressor. They have a switch that activates the square drive motor and is built for speed. Air ratchets are typically lighter and more cost-effective than their electric counterpart due to fewer parts that require less maintenance.
