ABOUT THIS CATEGORY

Chain blocks or chain hoists are mechanisms used to lift and lower heavy loads by utilizing chains. These manual chain hoists have two sets of chains: the hand chain and the load chain. Pulling the hand chain moves the drive gear and transfer the force into the load chain that lifts a particular load. Generally, chain blocks transform long-distance and low-force exerted on the hand chains into short-distance and high-force output in load chains to hoist heavy loads. Chain blocks are available in various load capacities and are commonly used in manufacturing, assembly, construction, and warehousing operations.
