Stem castors consist of a wheel on a rotating rig used to make stationary objects movable. They use a protruding stem to attach themselves at the bottom of an object that has limited space to accept a larger mounting surface. Typical stems include threaded stems that are screwed into pre-threaded holes, grip ring stems that use a tensioned grip ring to affix themselves, and grip neck or wood furniture stems that have contoured tips that interlock with specially designed sockets. Stem casters are commonly used in domestic and commercial applications such as chairs, furniture, cabinets, and racks to name a few. They are available in various wheel types for different floor conditions, and wheel capacities depending on the application requirement.
