Spring pins, also called tension pins or roll pins, are self-retaining fasteners used in shaft and axle connections. They are compressed when inserted into holes and exert outward pressure to secure their position. Spring pins come in coiled and slotted variants. Slotted spring pins, also known as roll pins or C pins, have a cylindrical body with a slot to provide flexibility during installation. Spring pins are available in both metric and imperial standard sizes.
