Hex head flanged bolts are fasteners consisting of a threaded body and a hexagonal shaped head with an integrated washer-like flange. These flanges distribute the clamping load and protect the material mating surface. Also known as frame bolts and flange bolts, these hex flanged bolts may have plain flanges or serrated flanges to prevent loosening during vibrations. Hex head flanged bolts are available in different sizes and classes or grades depending on the required bolt strength. Hexagon flange bolts are commonly used in automotive, heavy equipment, and machinery, among others.
