Dual voltage motors are electrical devices which transform electrical energy into mechanical energy. They may be use either of the two stated voltages but are wired differently to maintain the motor output. General consideration in wiring is that as the voltage goes up, the ampere goes down and vice versa. These motors are typically used in industrial applications that require greater power. Dual voltage motors are available in various horsepower ratings and mounting options depending on the process requirement.
