ABOUT THIS CATEGORY
Automotive Micro V Belts, also often just referred to as v-belts or vee-belts, are multi-ribbed belts used to transmit power from an engine to ancillary components such as alternators, hydraulic pumps and radiator fans, amongst others. They have multiple trapezoidal cross-sections alongside each other, resulting in a thinner belt with the same drive surface. Their V shaped sections wedges into the mating pulley grooves to provide great traction and avoid slippage. They are commonly made from rubber with reinforcing elements, such as Kevlar, for improved durability and strength. Automotive micro V belts come in metric or imperial standard sizes.
