Brazing and soldering torches are used in joining two materials by applying molten filler metal to the joint. These torches are used to melt filler metals in brazing and soldering. Unlike welding, brazing and soldering do not melt the workpieces and uses a filler metal with a lower melting point to flow into the gap between the materials being joined. Soldering torches are widely used in electronics repair and manufacture while brazing torches are generally used in piping and HVAC applications.
