Vernier calipers are precision measuring instruments used to measure the inner and outer dimensional properties of an object. They have an upper jaw that takes internal measurements, a lower jaw that takes external measurements, and a depth rod to determine the drop. Additionally, vernier calipers have dual scales that run along the top and bottom, showing both imperial and metric measurements. These vernier calipers are commonly used for laboratory tests, machining, metal fabrication, and other precision extensive applications.
