Bar Clamps, also referred to as Speed Clamps, hold workpieces together by applying pressure. Bar clamps consists of a long horizontal bar with two vertical bars or fasteners, one of which has a screw that can be tightened to apply clamping pressure. Bar Clamps can also be used as Spreaders by reversing one fastener to apply pressure outward. They are usually used in pairs or more for heavy and large workpieces. Bar clamps are commonly used in carpentry and in metal fabrication.
