Swages

Swages are pieces of hardware that consist of a hollow tube used to secure or terminate an end of a wire. These swage sleeves or ferrules are inserted into wires to fasten the turned back wire to the long end wire by swaging or by mechanical compression using a swage tool. The proper installation of swage sleeves results in 90 percent termination efficiency. Swage sleeves are made from either copper or stainless steel and are available in different sizes depending on the wire to be fastened.
