ABOUT THIS CATEGORY
Rope grips, also known as rope wire grips and rope wire clips, consist of a U bolt, saddle, and screws to fasten them together. They are used to secure the end of the rope by forming an eye or loop that may be used for connections or extending the wire. The turned back wire or dead end rope is clipped to the long end of the rope using wire grips. Properly installed wire clips retain 80 percent of the wire strength while improper installation will degrade its strength down to 40 percent. Rope grips are available in various sizes to match different sizes of wire ropes.
