Pipe - Hand Taps

Pipe hand taps are hand-driven devices used to cut or repair an internal thread in pipes or fittings that will be mated with a threaded pipe. They are used with an appropriate tap wrench and operated by hand to drive them into pipes or fittings. Additionally, pipe hand taps come in taper or roughing, intermediate or plug, and bottoming leads. Pipe hand pipes are usually made from tungsten chrome alloy to provide higher cutting forces and are available in various standard sizes.
