Tapping Heads

Tapping heads or tap holders are devices mounted on a drill, mill, or lathe used for holding a tap when cutting threads in bores. Additionally, tapping heads prevent tap breaking when loaded too much into the hole. They have a clutch mechanism to set the torque according to the tap diameter or the material. Tapping heads are commonly available in reversible and auto reversible variants.
