Grub screws also called set screws and blind screws, are fully threaded screws without protruding heads designed to join objects together. In place of a traditional head, they typically have a hex recess head end. Additionally, due to the absence of a protruding head, they can be fully driven in its hole even without a countersink. Set screws are generally used in applications where exposed parts of bolts and nuts will interfere in the proper operation of devices. Grub screws are usually made from either stainless or high grade alloy steel and are available in different diameter sizes and lengths.
