Hex nuts are six-sided nuts that are used with anchors, bolts, screws, studs, threaded rods, and on any other fastener that has machine screw threads. They require an appropriate spanner or wrench for turning. Hex nuts are used for fastening different objects in various applications such as in the automotive, construction, industrial, and commercial applications. Grade 8 steel nuts are typically used in high-stress applications such as pumps and motors and grade 8.8 steel nuts are known as a structural grade, grade 5 steel nuts are hardened and commonly used in automotive applications, while grade 2 steel nuts are used in low-stress applications. They are usually produced from stainless, high-tensile, and mild steel and are available in different diameter sizes.
