Lanterns are electrical devices that illuminate a broad area. They generally consist of a battery that powers the light bulb or light-emitting diodes (LED) to generate light. This light source is housed in a protective shell with multiple or panoramic translucent sides. A metal hoop can also be found on top of lanterns, that serves as the carrying handle, is also convenient for hanging. Lanterns are generally used for outdoor illumination and signaling.
