Plated for rust prevention, metric is gold dichromated for easier identification.
Most tolerances on dimensions are oversized to assure tight fits in keyways for positive, zero backlash power transmission.
Imperial sizes are cold drawn low carbon steel and Metric sizes are cold drawn steel.
Stainless steel made from 303/304 grade.
