M2 Wire Rope Thimble, 316 Stainless Steel - WRTA4M2

The Wire Rope Thimble, 316 Stainless Steel is available in 13 sizes (M2 to M20) and is a grooved metal liner that fits inside a rope or cable loop. It keeps the loop in shape and protects the wire from wear at the eye.

You can choose from 13 variants, covering sizes M2 to M20. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 5 to 100.

Supplied in 316 (A4) stainless steel. The molybdenum in A4 gives better resistance to chlorides than A2 (304), so it is the usual choice near the coast, around pools and in marine and food-processing environments.

In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.
