Slotted Screwdrivers, also referred to as flat-blades, slot-heads, straights, flats, flat-tips, or flat-heads, are the most common type of screwdrivers. The flat blade fits into the slot of a screw as it tightens or loosens it. A way of identifying flat-heads is through their blade profiles. The keystone variant flares before tapering off to the end of the blade while the cabinet screwdrivers have blades that do not flare making them ideal in tight spaces.
