Chisels are hand-held cutting tools with a sharp blade that is driven into hard materials such as wood, metal, and stone when struck by a hammer or mallet. Cold Chisels are made from tempered steel used on unheated metals that are softer than themselves but are oftentimes used on stone, bricks, and masonry. Depending on the intended use, cold chisels are available in a variety of shapes such as the Flat Chisel, Cross-Cut Chisel (also known as Cape Chisel), Half-Round Chisel and the Diamond Point Chisel.
