Auger drill bits are bits used to drill clean and deep holes in wood. They are normally made from carbon or alloy steel with a screw head which is intended to guide and pull the bit into the wood for easy operation. Additionally, they have rotating helical screw blades called “flighting” to act as a screw conveyor to remove wood shavings out. Auger drill bits are commonly used in woodworks and are available in different variations, sets, and sizes.
