Sutton C1070004 4 Piece 90° Three Flute DIN 335 Countersink Set - HSS Cobalt

The Sutton C1070004 is a 4 piece set of 90° three flute DIN 335 countersinks in HSS cobalt (5% Co), with 6.3, 10.4, 16.5 and 20.5 mm (countersink diameter d1): item numbers C107 0630, C107 1040, C107 1650 and C107 2050.

The three flutes are made to DIN 335 for countersinking and counterboring screw holes, with constant flute rake along the cutting face. The bright finish suits general purpose use. Each size in the set is also available individually.

Where this product is used

• Countersinking and counterboring screw holes for countersunk screws to DIN 963, 964, 965, 966, 7513 and 7516, and ISO 2009, 2010, 7046-1, 7046-2 and 7047.
• Deburring and chamfering tapped holes, in machine applications.

Using the tool

• Match the countersink to the screw head so the head sits flush with the surface.
• Use a low to moderate speed, and go lower on harder materials and larger diameters.
• Use cutting fluid when working steel or stainless steel.
• Hold the work firmly and keep the tool steady to reduce chatter.
