The Sutton B315SA3AC is an aluminium cut, cylindrical square end carbide burr with a solid carbide (VHM) head and bright finish, supplied with a 6 mm shank. Head diameter is 9.5mm, cut length is 19.1mm, overall length is 64mm and the shank diameter is 6mm.
The Al Cut pattern is for rapid stock removal of soft materials such as aluminium, brass, copper and plastics that would normally load other cuts.
Fit it to a die grinder or other high-speed rotary tool with a collet that matches the shank, and keep to the recommended speeds for the head diameter shown below.
Where this burr is used
- Grinding and deburring flat surfaces, square corners and edges with the side and the flat end of the burr
- Squaring up and cleaning out slots, pockets and keyways
- Removing weld bead, flash and casting fins
- Aluminium, brass, copper and plastics: soft materials that tend to load a standard cut
- Weld cleanup, deburring and shaping in fabrication, toolroom, foundry, engineering workshop and maintenance (MRO) work
