The NACHI 6308-2NSEC3 is a single row deep groove ball bearing with two contact rubber seals (2NSE). It measures 40 x 90 x 23 mm (bore x outer diameter x width) and carries a basic dynamic load rating of 40,500 N and a basic static load rating of 24,100 N.
Deep groove bearings are the most widely used ball bearing type: they carry radial, axial and combined loads and run at high speed with high running accuracy. This one has a radial internal clearance of C3 (15 to 33 µm radial).

Selecting the right option
Contact-sealed bearings (NSE, NSL, NS) give the best dust and water proofing of the three closure types and can run in severe dust. The trade-off is higher friction torque and a lower limiting speed. The filled grease can leak at high speed or high temperature, or if the outer ring rotates. For standard filled grease the recommended temperature range is -25 to 100 °C.
Fitting and use
Check the load and speed against the catalogue figures in the table before ordering, and apply a suitable safety factor. These bearings must always carry a minimum radial load so the balls roll rather than slide, and heavy axial loads should be checked with AIMS before ordering.
Press the ring that is being fitted, not the other ring or the balls: force goes through the side face of the inner ring on a shaft and the outer ring in a housing.
Sealed bearings are built for inner ring rotation, so they are not suited to high speed outer ring rotation. Do not wash or heat sealed bearings before mounting.
