M2 Flat Round Washer, 316 Stainless Steel - FWAA4M2

Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the Metric Flat Round Washer is a flat ring that spreads the clamping load of a nut or bolt head and protects the surface being fixed.

You can choose from 18 variants, covering sizes M2 to M48. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 10 to 200.

The A4 (316) grade is stainless steel with added molybdenum, which helps it hold up where salt, pool chemicals or washdown chemicals are present. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two common stainless grades, at a higher cost than 304. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.

In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option

Match the washer to the fastener size, and check outer diameter and thickness for the load. Washers are listed by the size of bolt they suit. Use stainless washers with stainless bolts to avoid mixed-metal corrosion.
