Drum Handling Equipment: Trolleys, Lifters, Gantries & Drum Dispensing Pumps
Moving, dispensing from, and storing 200L (44 Gallon) oil and chemical drums safely requires the right handling equipment. AIMS Industrial stocks numerous drum handling products from Alemlube, Macnaught, Lubemate, Garrick, Austlift, Beaver, Drum Grabber, Safepour, and EasyRoll — covering drum trolleys, drum dollies, drum lifters, drum gantries, and drum dispensing solutions.
The AIMS Drum Handling Range
Our drum handling range covers every stage of the drum lifecycle: receiving, moving, dispensing, and storage.
- Drum Lifters: Garrick, Austlift, Beaver, Drum Grabber, and Safepour drum lifters are designed for lifting 200L (44 Gallon) with a forklift or crane. Options include vertical drum lifters, drum grabs, and forklift drum cradles for safe drum positioning without manual handling risk.
- Drum Trolleys & Dollies: Macnaught, Lubemate, Alemlube, and EasyRoll drum trolleys and dollies allow safe manual movement of full 200L drums around workshops, warehouses, and loading docks. Versions available with tilt-frame dispensing positions for use without a stand or gantry.
- Drum Gantries: Alemlube 2-drum and 3-drum drum gantries provide a fixed racking and dispensing solution for workshops storing multiple oil grades simultaneously.
- Drum Dispensing Pumps: Alemlube and Macnaught drum dispensing pumps (rotary, hand-operated, and electric barrel pumps) allow fluid extraction directly from 200L drums without tipping. Match pump material to your fluid for correct chemical compatibility. See our full pumps and fluid handling range.
Safe Drum Handling: What to Consider
- Manual Handling Risk: A full 200L steel drum weighs approximately 190–210kg. Never attempt to roll or tilt a full drum without proper equipment. Use drum dollies for horizontal movement and drum lifters for elevation changes.
- Dispensing Position Matters: Horizontal storage allows gravity dispensing with a tap. Vertical (upright) storage requires a pump with suction tube/pipe. Select dispensing equipment that matches your storage orientation.
- Spill Containment: Drum dispensing areas should always include appropriate spill containment. See our spill control and containment range for bunded pallets, spill trays, and absorbent kits rated for oils and fuels.
- Expert Support: Need help configuring a drum storage and dispensing setup for your workshop? Contact our team or request a quote and we’ll specify the right combination of lifters, trolleys, gantries, and dispensing equipment.
- Australian Business, Local Supply: As a proudly Australian business since 1988, we stock locally and work with trusted local Australian manufacturers and distributors to ensure fast, reliable supply.
