Metric spiral point taps are tools designed to cut internal threads in a variety of materials. The spiral angle on the front of the tap pushes the swarf away from the cutting edges and through the hole during tapping. Furthermore, their geometry avoids shavings from packing the hole and helps prolong the lifespan of the tap. Spiral point taps are available in different thread forms and various metric standard sizes.
