Threaded Rod & Allthread — All Grades & Finishes
Threaded rod — also called allthread or studding — is fully threaded along its entire length, making it one of the most versatile fasteners in construction, engineering and maintenance. AIMS Industrial stocks metric and imperial allthread in plain, zinc plated, hot dip galvanised and stainless steel grades from Hobson, covering the full range of structural, industrial and corrosion-resistant applications.
Grades & Finishes Available
Choose the right finish for your application:
- Plain (bare steel) — uncoated mild steel threaded rod for general fabrication and indoor use where additional corrosion protection is not required.
- Zinc plated — Class 4.6 metric allthread with a zinc electroplated finish for general structural and mechanical applications. Also available in BSW (British Standard Whitworth) for imperial-dimensioned work.
- Hot dip galvanised — Class 4.6 metric allthread with a heavy galvanised coating for outdoor, exposed and corrosive environments.
- Stainless steel — threaded rod in 304 and 316 grades for marine, food processing, chemical and high-corrosion environments where long-term performance is critical.
Common Applications
Threaded rod is used across a wide range of applications: suspended ceiling hangers, pipe support brackets, structural connections, anchor bolt assemblies, machinery mounting and general fabrication. Cut to length on site and paired with hex nuts, nyloc nuts or coupling nuts, allthread is a workhorse fastener wherever adjustable-length fixing is needed.
