Brady describes B-492 as an ultra-thin polyester, 0.081 mm thick, with an aggressive permanent acrylic adhesive that can be applied to cold surfaces and suits cryogenic storage. It lists a service temperature of -196 to 110 °C, a minimum application temperature of -196 °C, and freezer, liquid nitrogen and 100 °C hot water bath environments, with chemical and smear resistance (manufacturer-stated).
