The Bossweld Silicon Bronze Welding Rod 5 kg Packet is a silicon bronze rod for brazing steel and for TIG or oxy welding of copper, brass and copper-zinc alloys. The alloy has good tensile strength and corrosion resistance, and gives strong, ductile brazed joints with reliable mechanical performance.

The rod is classified AWS A5.7 RCuSi-A (manufacturer-stated), with a tensile strength of 380 MPa (manufacturer-stated). It comes in 1.6 mm, 2.4 mm and 3.2 mm diameters in a 5 kg pack.

Choose the diameter to suit the joint and the heat you are working with. Brazing and soldering fumes can be harmful, so work with good ventilation or fume extraction and check the safety data sheet for the exact composition.
