Beaver Grade 80 Lifting Chain, Shackles, Webbing Slings & Rigging Hardware
Beaver is one of Australia’s most trusted lifting and rigging equipment brands, producing a comprehensive range of Grade 80 alloy lifting chain, shackles, webbing slings, wire rope grips, lever blocks, swivel hooks, and rigging components for mining, construction, heavy fabrication, transport, and general industry.
The Beaver name has been established in the Australian industrial market through a consistent focus on compliance, engineering quality, and the breadth of rigging hardware catalogue that working riggers, maintenance crews, and lift supervisors need to safely configure multi-leg chain slings, wire rope assemblies, and synthetic sling systems for complex lifts.
Lifting and rigging equipment operates in one of the highest-consequence environments in industrial safety — an incorrect or substandard component can fail with catastrophic results.
Beaver’s Grade 80 alloy chain is manufactured and tested to meet the working load limits and proof load requirements of AS 3776 and WLL-marked in accordance with Australian standards for safe working loads, providing the compliance assurance that mine sites, construction projects, and heavy industry require for their rigging.
Grade 80 alloy chain provides significantly higher working load limits per kilogram of chain weight compared to Grade 43 or Grade 70 transport chain — a 10mm Grade 80 chain single-leg sling has a WLL of 3.15 tonnes compared to approximately 1.5 tonnes for Grade 43 chain of the same diameter.
This means Grade 80 chain assemblies are lighter and more compact for a given WLL, reducing fatigue on rigging crews and improving manoeuvability of multi-leg slings in restricted headroom situations.
Beaver’s shackle range covers bow (anchor) and dee (chain) configurations in electrogalvanised steel from 5mm to 25mm diameter with screw pin closures, supporting both single-leg and multi-leg rigging configurations with multiple attachment points.
The flat webbing sling range provides a high-WLL, low-profile lifting interface for loads with finished surfaces where chain contact would cause marking or damage.
AIMS Industrial stocks Beaver’s lifting and rigging range for direct online ordering with fast delivery to mine sites, construction projects, and industrial facilities across Australia. Order today and keep your rigging register current with quality, WLL-marked equipment.
Beaver Grade 80 Chain, Shackles & Rigging Components
Beaver’s Grade 80 rigging hardware gives riggers the WLL-rated, standard-compliant chain, shackles, and component connectors needed to build safe, documented multi-leg lifting assemblies. Order from AIMS Industrial.
- Beaver Grade 80 Alloy Lifting Chain (1.2 to 31.5 Tonne): Beaver Grade 80 alloy steel lifting chain in WLL ratings from 1.2 tonne to 31.5 tonne for use in certified chain sling assemblies. Grade 80 alloy chain is the standard for lifting applications in Australian mining, construction, and heavy industry, providing the combination of high tensile strength and ductility required to safely suspend and manoeuvre heavy loads. WLL-marked links provide the load rating identification required for rigging registers and safety audits. Supplied in bulk lengths for fabrication into single-leg, double-leg, three-leg, and four-leg chain sling configurations.
- Beaver Screw Pin Anchor Bow Shackle: A bow (anchor) shackle with screw pin closure for use as the master link in multi-leg chain sling assemblies, connecting sling legs to a single lifting point such as a crane hook. The bow-body geometry accepts multiple leg connections, making it the correct shackle type for the top of a multi-leg sling. The screw pin must be moused (wired closed) for overhead lifting applications in accordance with rigging safety requirements to prevent the pin from unscrewing under load vibration. WLL-rated and marked for rigging register compliance.
- Beaver Screw Pin Dee Shackle ElectroGalvanised — 5mm to 25mm: An electrogalvanised dee (chain) shackle with screw pin closure for connecting individual chain sling legs to load attachment points, lifting lugs, pad eyes, and structural members. Dee shackles have a narrower body than bow shackles and are designed for straight-line or near-straight-line loading — not for angular loading across the pin, which reduces the rated WLL significantly. Available in sizes from 5mm to 25mm to suit the full range of chain sling diameters. Electrogalvanised finish for corrosion resistance in outdoor and marine environments.
- Beaver Grade 80 Component Connector (1 to 31 Tonne): A Grade 80 oblong or pear-shaped master link component connector for assembling multi-leg chain sling systems. Component connectors are used as the master link at the top of a chain sling where the sling must connect to a crane hook, hoist ring, or other lifting point, or as an intermediate connector between sling legs. Grade 80 component connectors are rated to the same WLL standards as Grade 80 chain and are used in certified sling assemblies requiring documentation of each component’s load rating.
- Beaver Grade 80 Swivel Self-Locking Hook with Bearing (1 to 8 Tonne): A Grade 80 swivel hook with safety latch and bearing-mounted swivel for use as the lower hook on chain slings, enabling the load to rotate freely without twisting the sling legs. Self-locking safety latches close automatically when the hook is loaded, preventing accidental disengagement of the load during the lift. The bearing-mounted swivel rotates smoothly under load, essential for loads that tend to rotate during lifting (cylindrical objects, unbalanced loads) and for setting loads into position where the final orientation differs from the pick-up orientation.
- Beaver 3S Grade 80 Industrial Lever Block (250 to 6300 kg): A Grade 80 industrial lever block (come-along) for mechanical load raising, lowering, and pulling in maintenance, rigging, and recovery operations. Lever blocks provide controlled load movement in situations where a crane or hoist is not available or cannot reach the required position — tensioning cable, pulling components into alignment, suspending loads during maintenance, and moving heavy equipment on confined sites. The 3S designation indicates Beaver’s heavy-duty industrial-grade construction with enhanced load chain and housing strength. WLL range from 250kg to 6,300kg covers light assembly through to major maintenance lifting tasks.
Beaver Webbing Slings & Wire Rope Grips
Beaver’s synthetic sling and wire rope hardware range completes the rigging toolkit with high-WLL soft slings for surface-sensitive loads and wire rope termination hardware for fixed and adjustable rope assemblies.
- Beaver Flat Webbing Sling 2 Ply: A two-ply flat polyester webbing sling for lifting loads with finished or delicate surfaces where chain or wire rope contact would cause marking, scratching, or distortion of the load. Flat webbing slings conform to the load surface, distributing the lifting force across a wide contact area and reducing localised pressure compared to chain or wire rope. The 2-ply construction provides higher WLL than single-ply slings of the same strap width. Suitable for lifting steel fabrications, machinery, vehicles, and structural components where surface protection is required. Length-rated and colour-coded.
- Beaver Wire Rope Grip ElectroGalvanised — 6mm to 32mm: An electrogalvanised wire rope grip (bulldog grip) for forming temporary or semi-permanent terminations in wire rope assemblies including wire rope slings, guy wires, safety lines, and tension cables. Wire rope grips are installed in sets of three or more at the correct spacing and orientation (saddle on the live rope, U-bolt on the dead end) to develop the rated holding force without crushing or kinking the wire rope. Available from 5mm to 25mm to suit the full range of wire rope diameters used in Australian rigging, mining, and construction applications. Electrogalvanised for corrosion resistance in outdoor environments.
