Aramid Belts are belts that are reinforced with a very strong synthetic polyamide fibre that can withstand intense use. Kevlar is a trademarked product and the most commonly known aramid. Aramid fibers are known to have high strength, good abrasion resistance and excellent heat and flame resistance. Aramid belts are highly resistant to strething and more durable than standard V-belts. Aramid belts are commonly used in heavy duty industrial applications, such as on crushers, and are also common on industrial mowers. Due to their lack of elasticity, when used in pairs, it is essential that the belts are fitted as a matched set.
