Fitting and use
Check the chain number and pitch of your chain against the table before ordering, and fit the idler on a bolt that matches the bore.
Line the idler up with the chain path so the chain runs square on the teeth, and set chain tension to the drive manufacturer's figure.
The bearing is sealed and lubricated at the factory. Keep water, grit and solvents away from the seals, and replace the idler if the bearing runs rough or noisy.
