This AAP flanged brass gate valve has a brass body, bonnet and wedge, a 304 stainless steel shaft, an aluminium alloy handle and flanged ends. It is supplied in 8 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 4 in (100 mm).
A wedge gate valve moves a wedge-shaped gate between two body seats using a spindle, so when it is fully open the fluid has a straight, uninterrupted passage with very little pressure drop. AAP says it is not recommended for flow regulation and should only be used fully open or fully closed.
AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,380 kPa (13.8 bar), with 15 mm to 80 mm flanges to AS 2129 Table E and an undrilled 100 mm flange (manufacturer-stated), and lists the valve for water, oil, gas and irrigation.
The AAP catalogue lists the 100 mm size as undrilled, so the flange has no bolt holes and needs to be drilled to suit your mating flange.

Selecting the right option
Choose the size to match your mating flange, and drill the 4 in (100 mm) flange to suit your pipework. AAP lists the flange drilling as AS 2129 Table E (manufacturer-stated), so check it against your flange before you order. AAP also lists screwed brass and bronze gate valves.
